Season of the Chilly Toes
December 28, and our first snowfall of the winter. Very late; last winter there was snow on the ground starting in October. But so far no one is complaining.

Snow Day
Ice, then snow, then hoar frost, then sun - almost an embarrassment of riches. What a glorious sight!

A Crystal Universe
Hoar frost is the long spiky ice crystals that form on surfaces when the air is foggy (full of moisture) and the temperature remains below freezing. Science aside, it's magical.
